The Marma J Foundation has the mission of “leveraging Web3 tech for social good”. This next project allows us to leverage NFTs, DAOs, and other NEAR ecosystem tools in order to direct some of that support to one of our community members that have had a life-changing diagnosis recently.

Now the time has come to support the physical community once more!

Maksim & His Family

Maksim is 10 years old and is currently at Sick Kids hospital recovering from invasive surgery. He is also getting ready to start his radiation treatment on the 1st of February 2022. Only a few weeks ago, he was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, cancer that begins in the brain or spinal cord. 

As he is living in a rural area of Canada without the required medical care nearby, because of this he had to be relocated to Toronto. The family, his single mother and older sister, have already run a crowdfunding campaign to gain financial support to cover the treatment and life-long recovery. 

The Marma J Foundation wants to support the family in their efforts of getting Maksim the best care to recover and heal.  Funds raised from this project will be used for Maksim’s relocation, lodging and medical treatment.

Support Through Valentine’s Card NFTs

As Maksim’s birthday is on Valentine’s Day, what better way of supporting than spreading love and support through Valentine-themed art? 

Therefore the Marma J Foundation will invite artists to create Valentine’s cards which will be sold for 1N each through a simple sale. 90% of the splits of each card will go to Maksims wallet, maksimj.near and 10% to the Marma J DAO marmaj-sputnik-dao.near. The cards can be bought in the dedicated Mintbase store. In addition, the MarmaJ DAO will also collect cards from the community.

We hope that plenty of the cards will be bought and sent to loved ones, to spread positivity, and to support Maksim’s cause. If you also want to support and show some love, browse through the store once the cards are minted and get yours!

General Info for Artists

• Each NFT minted to the Mintbase contact (Valentine’s card store) should be set for “simple sale” (not auction) and be listed for 1N or less. Any edition amount is fine.
• Artists can mint as many unique Valentine’s Day card NFTs as they would like on the contract as long as they follow the guidelines.
• Artists can be removed from being a Minter on the store at any time and for any reason. Please only mint NFTs that are respectful and fit the theme of the event.
