Waking up every day in a peaceful surrounding is a blessing beyond measure, listening to the sound of the waves, feeling the cool breeze across my face and feet pressing into the sand makes me feel so relaxed. Gazing at the alluring sunrise, calm and completely free – I feel like I’m home. Enjoying my walk along with my potcake named Mika, suddenly Nearchan interrupts my mental reality.

“Hey,” I answered after removing my virtual reality device.

“How are you? Did I invade your 3xr space?” she asked over the phone.

“Always. You always do. Why did you call?” I asked hurriedly, but trying not to sound angry. I wanted to go back to my happy place.

“I know you love your virtual reality rather than your real-life, but I just want to remind you that you have a life outside 3xr space. Maybe you should divert your attention to something? Try a new hobby?” she suggested.

“I don’t know,” I mumbled. I felt lost and unsure of what to do with my life right now.

“I miss the old MarmaJchan, especially how you spread love and positivity through your creative mind,” she said with a sense of sadness in her voice, “I know your heart got broken but you have to pick yourself up and move forward,” she continued.

“I’m trying but I feel stuck,” I sighed. Every time I take one step forward it is always followed by two-steps backward.

“Maybe instead of forgetting all the pain and sadness, try to embrace it and make an amazing creation. I know you can do it, you just have to find the love you have lost,” she said with optimism in her voice.

“I will try. I will go outside and take some air,” I answered while looking outside my window.

“Okay, that’s great! Hit me up if you need anything. I’m just here, your one call away buddy,” she chuckled. I feel lucky to have a supportive friend who’s been there through ups and downs.

After the call, I changed my clothes and glanced at my old camera. When I opened it, I saw all the photography I’d shot before. And I remember that I used to have a passion for the arts and a love for what I was doing. I feel like the time I started not caring for myself is when I wasn’t able to give love, positivity, and support to others. Maybe the first step I need to do is self-care and self-love.

I decided to walk around the city and come by the coffee shop that I used to visit every day. When I arrived, the staff greeted me with a smile, such a warm welcome. I missed the place, I missed the smell of the coffee, I missed the chill vibe, it feels like a comfort zone. After I got my all-time favorite Caramel Macchiato, I sat beside a window. Looking outside while sipping my coffee, a homeless old lady feeding street dogs caught my interest. I pulled out my camera to capture the heartwarming moment.

When I got home, I immediately called Nearchan.

“Hey MJ, what’s up?” she excitedly answered.

“I want to ask a little favour,” I said timidly.

“Sure, anything I can help with just let me know,” she offered.

“Remember the time I wanted to do an art exhibit for my photography?” I asked.

“Yes I remember, that was the time your ex-boyfriend said that you couldn’t make a living in arts and you looked for other jobs to change your profession,” she recalled.

“Yeah, you’re right, and I wasn’t happy with my decision. That’s why I want to pursue it now but instead of performing it in a real-life event, I want to create a 3xr gallery where I can mint all my photography and all the revenue and royalties will be the funds for the ‘Spread the Love Project'” I replied.

“That’s interesting! What’s the ‘Spread the Love Project’?” she asked.

“After I saw a heartwarming moment earlier, I came up with the idea of leveraging web3 for social good. The main purpose will be to spread love, positivity, and support to the community. I believe that even the smallest act of kindness can go along the way,” I explained

“I love it! I want to be part of it!” She exclaimed.

“Sure! I need your help on building the virtual gallery, maybe Vanchan could help too.” I said.

“No problem, I’ll contact Vanchan. Let’s plan it then start it right away!” She answered.

After weeks of planning and building the virtual gallery, I was so amazed by the result, It was surreal. I didn’t expect a lot of people to visit the 3xr gallery we created for a cause; some even bought their art.

“Nearchan and Vanchan, thank you so much for helping me and making this wonderful event happen,” I said happily with teary eyes. For the longest time, I hd never felt this happy and fulfilled.

“No worries. I love your creativity! My favorite is the one you captured with busy people and the line ‘Everyone has a struggle, a little kindness would make their day lighter. Let’s spread love from somebody to everybody,” Vanchan said.

“Mine is the homeless old lady feeding street dogs! That photo is very heartwarming and I love the line ‘No one is poor in giving love and positivity,” Nearchan said, “How about you MJ? What’s your favorite photo in your art?” She continued.

“Hmmm… I can’t decide,” I said while roaming around the virtual gallery, “I’ll choose the sunset. I love how it shows that endings can be beautiful too,” I continued.

After the 3xr event, we gathered some funds to start the ‘Spread the Love Project’. We began by feeding homeless people, street dogs, and cats. And we’re planning on doing more of spreading love, positivity, and support to our community.

Love should start within ourselves. Love yourself and do something you love, for you to share and spread love to anyone and everyone.
